Landscape is a very broad and deep subject. Regarding the size, it means the place where a person can perceive the light, air, flora, fauna, seasons, wind, heat in which he can exist and integrate with it; that is, first of all it is a matter of scale. It also contains an enormous cinematography. The state of sensing a vital perception is the focus of the landscape concept.
integrity with architecture
Landscape is a state of microcosm. Therefore, all the rules of this microcosm begin with architectural fiction, discussed and established. I think the situation is not very different when discussing the city and the landscape. Architectural programs that create the experiences that make the city a city and their succession… Therefore, I cannot perceive urban design as a subject of landscape. Drawing into the unreasonable void is at best a graphic action. For this reason, urban design cannot be landscaped for some reason. Landscape is the name of an integrated sensation. Only in an ideal setting the architectural space turns into a landscape. Only then landscape is possible.
The projects that I worked on such as Özen House, Zorlu Center and Erol House are good examples of integration, I think. As a new project from the world, we can say “Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center” designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop.
